New Delhi – Dec 2: The “Black Friday” shopping festival has officially crossed into Bharat. New data from e-commerce enabler GoKwik reveals that Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities contributed nearly 60% of total shipment volumes during the recent sale weekend.
Indian D2C brands witnessed a 58% year-on-year jump in sales, with smaller towns outpacing metros in order volume growth. Interestingly, online payments overtook Cash on Delivery (COD) in these regions, signaling a massive shift in digital trust among non-metro consumers.
