WebVerbal Bharat Intelligence · Startup Index 2026
Top 50 Startups in India 2026
The WebVerbal 2026 Startup Index is an independent editorial dataset covering 50 significant Indian startups and new-age technology companies across fintech, ecommerce, SaaS, enterprise technology, artificial intelligence, healthtech, logistics, mobility, edtech, travel technology, foodtech and deeptech.
This page combines a searchable startup database with WebVerbal’s research framework for examining business scale, market position, growth momentum, capital strength, innovation and ecosystem relevance. Valuation is treated as one reference signal rather than the sole basis for inclusion.
India startup landscape 2026
India’s Startup Landscape in 2026
India’s startup economy now spans consumer internet, financial technology, enterprise software, ecommerce, logistics, mobility, healthcare, education, artificial intelligence and deeptech. The WebVerbal index is designed to make those patterns easier to examine in one place rather than treating a startup ranking as a simple valuation list.
What this index covers
The dataset contains 50 companies with structured fields for rank, sector, headquarters, stage, founding year, reference valuation, funding, growth classification and WebVerbal score. The ranking is editorial and independent, not a government classification.
How to interpret the numbers
Private-company valuations and funding figures can have different reference dates. Listed and private companies are therefore identified separately, and the figures should be read as research-base reference points rather than a single-period financial comparison.
Dataset signals

Counts above are calculated directly from the 50 startup records contained in this page’s dataset.

|---|---|---|

Sector counts are calculated from the sector field of the 50 startup records on this page.
Geographic intelligence
Where Are India’s Leading Startups Headquartered?
The startup geography is concentrated
Bengaluru and Delhi NCR together account for 38 of the 50 headquarters represented in this index. That concentration is a property of this selected dataset, not a claim that all Indian startups are located in these two markets.
Capital intelligence
Valuation, Funding and Startup Scale
The dataset contains reference valuation and funding fields, but these figures should not be treated as a single-period financial statement because reporting dates differ across companies.
Read carefully: Aggregating private-company valuations and cumulative funding into a single total is an analytical convenience, not a measure of the current market value or balance-sheet strength of India’s startup ecosystem.
Emerging technology
The New Generation: AI, Deeptech and Technology Infrastructure
Indian AI
Sarvam AI, Emergent and Krutrim appear in the dataset, representing generative AI, agentic software and AI infrastructure themes.
Space & Deeptech
Skyroot Aerospace represents the deeptech and commercial space category in the current 50-company dataset.
AI across sectors
AI also appears within enterprise technology, healthcare and logistics, showing that the dataset is not limited to standalone AI companies.
WebVerbal analysis
